It is definitely worth knowing that you will not need to pay an excess or take out an excess waiver for your carhire in the U.S.A. No such requirement exists. When you book your car rental through The Car Hire Team you will be supplied with a rental voucher that includes all of the following:
- CDW – Collision Damage Waiver
- LDW – Loss Damage Waiver
- UMP – Uninsured or Under-insured Motorist Protection
- SLI – Supplementary Liability Insurance
- Local & State Taxes and fees.
This gives you complete cover on your holiday as long as you do not invalidate any of these waivers by actions such as drink-driving. If you are driving within the law and for instance, suffer a bump, even if it was your fault you will not be required to pay anything extra. You must, of course, adhere to any given procedures for accidents on the road as instructed by your supplier. The relevant procedures and forms are usually stored in the glove compartment of your hire car.
It is always better to avoid any accidents and incidents by driving carefully, staying within speed limits, and taking note of any road signs. Do remember that cars can pass in any lane when you are on two-lane or more lane road so watch out for cars passing on the inside.
